Today was a little more enjoyable and full of excitement. The ' Future Department ' of our school has organized a very special event for us. It was a speaker session with a very versatile as well as a very talented man, Top Bahadur Malla, the co-founder of our beloved ' Kopila Valley School '. In that session we found how much of a struggle there is to start a school, non profitable school to be exact. He also shared some of his life experiences and the blood and sweat dropped along the way.
At a very young age, he lost his father, sister, and eventually his mother too. With this, his life was already full of problems and scarcity but he worked his way out and fulfilled his needs through hard work. With his brother’s suggestion, he continued his studies. After some time, he went to India and was on a frequent hustle to make a living, working as a construction worker, and driver and he also worked as a porter/ guide for medical doctors too. He shared with us the experience of being in a new environment and the hardships of fitting in as he was of our age when he went to India.
After some time, in the course of events, he meets with Maggie Doyne with a similar vision to help Nepali children so they decide to cooperate, and then his prestigious school and community are formed. We are thankful to Mr Top Bahadur Malla and the Futures department for this wonderful session.”

“On the 14th of August, we had the pleasure of listening to the personal story of Top sir in our very first month as part of a mentorship class which was organized by the Futures department. We got to know about a very versatile, hardworking, and curious personality, our own Mr.Top Bahadur Malla who is one of the co-founders of Kopila Valley. He shared with us the memories of adventures and struggling life.
This session was a complete rollercoaster of emotions. It was filled with joy, relief, curiosity, and admiration. It comprised many experiences, I could relate with and it made it more valuable for me. I got to learn many new lessons about his life's journey and the stories of his struggles made me feel like I'm too blessed to give up. If Top sir, with so many problems, could achieve this level of greatness then, with proper amount of determination and hardship could also definitely bear the same level of fruitful results. For that reason, I shall improve myself and surpass my capabilities.
The session taught me the importance of listening and continuity. As he without any tutor or other facilities learned to speak English with just interactions and some magazines. It shows that with great determination and heartfelt desire, one can overcome any hurdles. I thought to myself ''With this many twists and turns life becomes difficult but also exciting". He said "Do right and don't be afraid" which explains his philosophy and teachings of those walking in the path of righteousness shall not be afraid as doing so will limit them.
Like in his life, he roamed here and there to find his purpose. Many people are struggling to find theirs. Keeping this in mind, he along with likeminded people formed this organization in order to let people find their purposes, dreams, and wishes and transform their lives. In the end, I would like to thank Mr Top Bahadur Malla and the Futures team for this wonderful session.
