Poonam Basnet

Poonam is an educator who chooses to be in the field as a conduit for positive change, driven by a genuine desire to contribute to helping children help themselves. She identified a significant alignment between social work, which she is a graduate of, where she embraced the values and ethics integral to the program, and those of the KVS. This alignment greatly supports her work as an educator, allowing her to approach teaching with trauma-informed and strength-based methods, helping children at Kopila flourish emotionally and academically. She finds joy in being present for them as they express their emotions and pose conflicting queries.
